Domain Sale & Lease-to-Own Terms
Last updated: 16 August 2026
1. Seller and scope
The seller is WebAndNet (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to enquiries and proposed purchases or Lease-to-Own arrangements for the domain displayed on this website (“Domain”). WebAndNet has been a Nominet member for over 20 years and uses Nominet tag WEBANDNET.
2. Website information and availability
Prices, availability and descriptions are invitations to treat and not binding offers. A sale is formed only when the parties agree definitive written terms and WebAndNet confirms cleared funds as required. “For Sale”, “Under Offer” and “Sold” labels are provided honestly but may change. We may decline an enquiry or offer.
3. Outright purchase and secure escrow payment
The agreed cash price is payable through an established third-party escrow service agreed by the parties and identified in the definitive agreement. The escrow service will hold and release funds according to its procedures and the agreed transaction milestones, helping protect both buyer and seller during payment and transfer. VAT is not applicable unless the definitive agreement states otherwise because circumstances or law require it. Standard registrar transfer is included where applicable. Escrow, premium transfer, currency conversion, banking or other third-party costs are payable as stated in the definitive agreement.
4. Transfer
Following receipt of cleared funds and satisfaction of any identity, anti-fraud or compliance checks, WebAndNet will take reasonable steps to transfer the Domain to the buyer or the buyer’s nominated registrar/account. The buyer must provide accurate details, maintain a suitable registrar account and complete required confirmations promptly. Registry and registrar rules and processing times apply.
5. Twelve-month Lease-to-Own
Lease-to-Own is available only where expressly offered for a Domain with a cash price above £2,000. The public option lasts 12 months. Its total price is 120% of the stated cash price: 10% of that total is due upfront, followed by 11 equal monthly payments, subject to any minor final-payment rounding stated in the definitive agreement.
After the initial payment and completion of the definitive agreement, the buyer may use the Domain in accordance with that agreement. Legal and registered ownership remains with WebAndNet until every amount due has cleared. The buyer may settle the outstanding balance early without an early-settlement penalty. Missed payments, prohibited use, renewal, DNS control, suspension, termination and consequences of default will be governed by the definitive agreement.
6. Buyer responsibilities and trademarks
The buyer is solely responsible for investigating whether the Domain and its intended use infringe or conflict with any trademark, trading name, passing-off right or other third-party right. Purchase or use of a Domain does not grant any trademark, company-name, branding or other intellectual-property rights. The buyer must not use the Domain unlawfully, deceptively, abusively or in breach of registry or registrar rules.
7. Accuracy, risk and liability
The buyer must conduct its own commercial, technical, legal and tax due diligence. Except where law prevents exclusion, the Domain is supplied as-is and we do not promise traffic, rankings, revenue, fitness for a particular purpose or freedom from third-party claims. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
8. Privacy and communications
We process enquiry details as described in our Privacy Notice. Electronic communications and copies may be retained as transaction records.
9. Governing law
These terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
